Swedish musician, born 29 October 1949 in Enköping.

Englund grew up on Maratongatan in the birth city of Enköping. He started playing guitar at age eight and had his first orchestra at the age of 12; Örjans Quartet, where he played with his brother Lars Englund. In 1966 he formed the pop group Maniacs at age 16 along with Tommy Körberg (17 years), who was then residing at Bishop Arnö. Körberg and Englund met each other in St. Ilian School in Enköping and were both musically interested. Already the year before Körberg / Englund won the EIS amateur contest in Enköping people's park with songs Dang me and King of the road.

Örjan Englund formed Eagle Records 1983 and ran it until 1997 together with Ulf Westman. Eagle Records produced artists like Åsa Jinder, Dana Dragomir, Alien, Lizette Pålsson, Rune Gustavsson, Gladys del Pilar, Monica Ramos, Totte Wallin.The record company was sold in 1996 to his colleagues Björn Håkansson and Kaj Lunden Welden and today the company is owned by BMG Rights.
In 2006 he was awarded the prize "årets handlare" by Enköpings kommun, where he ran the music store JAM (Gitarrshopen).

Örjan Englund has over the years made three own solo albums and two albums with the group Zandra (with Liza Öhman). He also played on an album with the group Moonlighters which also included guitarist Hasse Rosen and with the band Humlor & Bin during the early 1970s (with Peter Forbes and Jan Bråthe). Englund has played with Carola in the beginning of her career as well as a number of other artists such as Kikki Danielsson, Alf Robertson, Robert Wells, Doug Sahm and Wendel Atkins.

Örjan Englund has written a few hundred songs that have been recorded by other artists, of which the most famous is Mister, Do not speak bad about my music to the American country legend David Allan Coe and Innerst i sjelen to Sissel Kyrkjebø.
