Dutch rock group Vitesse was started by [a=Herman Van Boeyen] and [a=Herman Brood], who were friends, in 1975. After the first album Herman Brood left the band in 1976.
Since then the band has known many different casts, built around Herman van Boeyen. The last successful album of the band was released in 1985. Herman tried to keep the band alive, but in 1994, without any more hits, he stopped making music.
Band o.l.v. drummer Herman van Boeyen (Amsterdam, 1949). Talloze wisselingen in de bezetting. O.a. Herman Brood, Jan-Piet den Tex en Jan van der Meij (naar Powerplay) waren lid.
